ASSUMPTION OF RISK STATEMENT including the EYES WIDE OPEN POLICY below.
- SKATING and SKATING based activities are undertaken ENTIRELY at your own risk.
- RoLA DSCo and the RoLA DSCo management cannot be held responsible and accept NO liability for any loss or injury incurred
whilst skating caused either by you or others.
- ALL skaters under 8 years old MUST be accompanied on the skating area at all times by a parent / guardian (16 years or over).
- Children aged 8 to 16 SHOULD be accompanied at the venue by a parent / guardian.
- All persons entering the venue / skating area AUTOMATICALLY agree to the ASSUMPTION OF RISK Statement.
- Any person who DOES NOT agree, please do not skate or enter the skating area.
- All persons entering the venue / skating area consent to any photography, filming and recording as authorised by RoLA DSCo
management for possible future transmission or for promotional purposes.
All SKATERS are reminded that they skate at their OWN risk.
- The following guidelines are for your safety, and the safety of others.
- PLEASE ensure you have read and understood them before skating.
- ALSO please LISTEN to all instructions from our Marshals or the RoLA DSCo management.
- Go into the skating area without any skates (unless you are accompanying a child, but you must have footwear on).
- Carry children or infants.
- Skate in chains (Two holding hands is acceptable).
- Stand still or gather in groups within the skating area.
- Play tag, chase or get involved in any other games.
- Take bags, phones or cameras into the skating area.
- Eat or drink within the skating area.
- Skate at an excessive speed compared to others around you.
- Skate erratically causing others to have to avoid you.
- IMMEDIATELY report any incidents / accidents to a member of staff.
- ALWAYS skate in an ANTI-CLOCKWISE direction unless directed by a member of staff.
- It is your OWN responsibility to make sure your skates are fitted correctly.
- Always skate within your own ability.
- Wear the appropriate clothing for skating.
- Wear protective equipment, which is available to borrow, or you are welcome to use your own.
- Immediately report any spillages onto the skating area to a member of staff.
- Report any skaters / spectators not following these guidelines directly to a member of staff.
If you have decided to have your party with RoLA DSCo then we would ask you to make sure that all participants that you have
invited are aware of the inherent risks with this type of activity and if under 16 years old that you have THOUROUGHLY informed
their Parents or Guardians of the type of activity that they will be undertaking at one of our events. You can pass this document
on to them, ask them to read and sign for it or whatever you need to do to make sure they are informed and that they or their
parents / guardians AGREE completely with this policy. If they do not then PLEASE DO NOT LET THEM SKATE!
Roller skating can be a dangerous activity, skaters can easily fall and hurt themselves, we offer the FREE use of pads at our events,
but we cannot be responsible for putting them on to you or your children and making sure they stay on. We cannot give skating
LESSONS during the events as it requires our focus to be taken away from the room. It is also very possible that other skaters
using the facility could fall and cause further accidents that you can become involved in. We take all reasonable measures to
control the environment and the actions of all skaters on and off the skating area, BUT we cannot guarantee that accidents will nt
happen or be held responsible for any injuries that occur during these events. If you DO NOT AGREE with this policy PLEASE DO
NOT SKATE!
THE BOOKING
Once you have agreed all of the booking details for your MIX-IN or EXCLUSIVE RoLA DSCo Party we will send you a confirmation
email, with all of the relevant details on it, along with an attached copy of this document. We will then ask you to pay a £20.00
non-refundable DEPOSIT, this will get deducted from the balance of the agreed cost of the party, when you make your final
balancing payment for the RoLA DSCo Party. By making this DEPOSIT payment you are AGREEING to ALL of the statements and
policies contained within this document.
MIX-IN Parties will be required to make a payment on arrival for their Final Numbers (Estimated if necessary) The Party Organiser
will then be issued with the appropriate number of coloured wristbands for their entire party to wear. Skates will only be issued to
those wearing RoLA DSCo WRISTBANDS.
EXCLUSIVE Parties will be asked to make a final balancing payment within the FIRST HOUR of the start of their event.
We can only accept CASH on the day, if you want to make payment via a different method
then we require the payment at least 48 hours in advance or 7 days if by Cheque.
For parties we would also require that you have sufficient Parents / Guardians available at a ratio of 1 adult to 8 children, if the
MAJORITY of the party is between 8 and 16 years old.
We also recommend that one of those helpers is present within the skating area at all times. We require this presence as we
cannot offer any type of child care facilities and the party remains the responsibility of the Party Organiser (The individual who
books the party, unless otherwise agreed)
We will have Skate Marshals to enforce our 'Rules of the Rink' but we are not responsible for their general behaviour.
For parties we would also require that you have sufficient Parents / Guardians available at a ratio of 1 adult to 4 children, if the
MAJORITY of the party is under 8 years old.
